Ufuk was born in Istanbul, he is one of three children. He completed his high school education but didn’t really like at decided not to further his education at university but instead decided to join his family-run coffee house, Firuzaga Kahvesi. While there he was spotted by director Zeki Demirkubuz and he was given his first role as Ferit in the film Bekleme Odasi.
In 2006 he acted in the film Kader, it was very successful and won him an award for best actor at the film festival. His first TV series was in 2007, Kartallar Yuksek Ucar. In 2009 he got the part of Genc in the series Ezel working alongside Kenan Imirzalıoğlu. He said after this it was scary as his popularity increased.
In 2015 he tried his hand at writing a screenplay…Kumes, and also directed it too. In 2016 he was in Dag 2 the movie sequel to Dag which he also starred in. His new role is in the huge hit series Cukur which has gone into its second season. Coming into the series as a new character, and such a well-loved series, must be difficult but he is doing really well and has had positive feedback.
Ufuk is married to Mervem who worked as a fashion consultant but they had a child, Efe and now they raise the child together. Ufuk adores his child and says if he says to him ” Dad, come ” there is no chance I’m not going. On Instagram, he has 45k followers but I’m sure as is usual with his role in the very popular Cukur this number will increase. I’m looking forward to the new season of Cukur and the new characters of which Ufuk is one of them.
