SEN CAL KAPIMI EPISODE 32 SUMMARY
The only major change in this episode is the relationship of Chef Alex and Ayfer. Nothing else has changed. Serkan still has amnesia and questions his past love. Selin is still deceiving and plotting. Eda is still engaged to Deniz with a wedding looming in March. Piril is still pregnant. Ceren is still in love with Deniz and annoyed with Ferit. Melo is still her busybody self.
The morning after Piril’s Baby Party, Eda awakens to the realization of what she and Deniz have done. She finds the wedding invitation that Deniz had prepared and remembers that she changed the date from April 20 to March 20. She panics.
Selin, driving to work, remembers that she found a sleeping Serkan holding Eda’s wedding invitation; that worries her so much that she calls Deniz to tell him they have to talk. Deniz, already at his shop, tells her to come by. Selin tells Deniz that she found Serkan asleep with Eda’s invitation in his hand; she thinks there is some spiritual connection between Eda and Serkan that must be impeded, and she wants Deniz to be at the company to keep Eda occupied while she stays close to Serkan. Maybe they can be obstacles to prevent the two lovers from reconnecting. Deniz agrees but he says there would be no reason for him to be at the company daily. Selin says she will create an excuse for his daily attendance in the office. Their conversation is cut short when Eda drives up, and Selin must hide from her.
Serkan arrives at the office and tells Leyla to bring him the Keremburgaz project dossier, but when Leyla checks the computer she finds an e-mail from that company saying they have cancelled the project. Neither she nor Engin want to tell Serkan the bad news.
Eda, driving to Deniz’s shop, is worried with the idea of a wedding. She needs to speak with Deniz about his making decisions in the “game” without her knowledge. She thinks he has gone too far; what she doesn’t know is that Deniz is working with Selin. Deniz wants Eda for himself and he’s willing to work with Selin for selfish reasons. When she arrives, she finds Deniz alone because Selin is secreted behind a screen.
Deniz tells Eda that for Serkan to remember and react he must believe that their romance is real. He will get jealous and give up Selin. While he is speaking to Eda who is sitting with her back to the door, Selin sneaks out. Eda is now trapped by her own willingness to believe Deniz is helping her.
Ayfer returns from her vacation with Chef Alex disappointed that he paid more attention to a woman on the plane than he did her. Alex is at his restaurant as he talks with Ayfer. He makes excuses for his behavior, saying that he only described his restaurants to the woman, but after winning forgiveness from Ayfer, he immediately goes to another woman in the restaurant and flirts with her. His conversation is overheard by Seyfi who has brought Aydan to the restaurant (the location is confusing).
Ferit goes to Celen in her office and she immediately rejects his presence. He explains that he’s a partner in the company and he has come to her for company business since she is the company lawyer. If she would check her e-mail, she would see that they have a problem with the Keremburgaz account. She needs to get all of the documents together that Serkan will need.
Eda, after coffee with Deniz, arrives at the office just as Serkan loudly calls for Leyla after finding the Keremburgaz project file on his desk. Eda asks him why he is yelling for Leyla, and he patiently explains that they have lost the account because someone didn’t do a very good job on the design. Eda asks Serkan if he has called the Keremburgaz Company to find out more about their complaints, but Serkan says that’s not his style. They argue.
Ceren enters and Serkan asks if Art/Life will have to pay compensation. Ceren says she’s trying to touch base with the Keremburgaz lawyer. Eda says before they discuss something legal, they need to talk to the company management. Maybe they can resolve the problems by conversation, but Serkan tells Eda not to interfere and to Ceren he says for her to do the “right” thing. They argue, but Eda concludes by saying she will call the company. Later, Ceren asks Eda what she has done; Eda explains that she talked with the company about the project and they decided to continue with Art/Life. She also tells Ceren that she hasn’t told Serkan yet. When Serkan finds Eda and demands to know what she has done, she plays a game with him, telling him her management style works and since Keremburgaz will continue with the project, she wants him to thank her. Silly argument. Deniz enters and tells Eda that he will design Selin’s office; his presence will probably make Serkan jealous, a suggestion that Eda believes.
When Serkan returns to his conference room, Selin stops him to tell him that she is going to redecorate her office and she wants Deniz to do the work. Serkan is NOT happy about this decision. He goes to Engin and complains that no one in the office is following rules and he’s very angry. From now on, Serkan says, love is forbidden. Engin promises to make some rules for the personnel. He prints up signs and has Erdem post them around the office. When Eda sees the signs, she goes to Serkan and they argue. She calls him a man with no soul, a robot, and when she starts to leave, he grabs her arm. She says, “Don’t touch me,” a comment that stirs a memory for Serkan, “No one but me can dare to touch you.”
Seyfi tells Aydan about Alex’s conversation with Ayfer and how the 2 day vacation ended on a sour note, a report that Aydan enjoys because she didn’t think Ayfer was sophisticated enough for a bon vivant like Alex. She soon receives a call from Alex who wants “to hear her voice,” and they agree to meet. When Alex comes to Aydan’s table, he flirts unabashedly and gives her a rose. Chef Alex is a womanizer.
At home, Ayfer finds water dripping from the ceiling into the breakfast area. She dashes upstairs and finds the water running and the kitchen sink overflowing. On her way downstairs, she finds Eda’s wedding invitation where Eda dropped it. She is NOT happy. When Melo and Eda come home after work, they find an Ayfer who is very upset. Ayfer is annoyed about Eda’s “love game” going to extremes. She tells Eda she has one week to win or lose Serkan before she must give up the game. If she doesn’t give it up, Ayfer will tell Serkan everything. Such foolishness is not fair to either Serkan or herself.
Serkan works alone and late in the office, off and on looking at Eda’s empty chair at the long table. He seems to have trouble concentrating. Eda, at home, is equally unable to apply herself to the work she needs to do. Often she throws darts at Serkan’s photograph. Serkan goes for a walk and stops at the coffee shop that he and Eda often visited. He is surprised when the waiter says he has a table. Shortly after he is seated, Eda comes in. They are surprised to see each other and Eda joins Serkan at the table in front of the windows. Serkan says he went for a walk that led him to this shop, but he doesn’t know why, and he thinks it’s strange that the waiter called him by name and said he had a table. Eda remembers the first time they came and she introduced him to the hot coffee that would burn lips. Serkan says he feels calm, at peace, in this coffee shop but he doesn’t know why. Eda, once hopeful that he remembered, but now disappointed, tells him that he is at “his” table because he rented the place, and then she leaves him.
The next morning Eda brings Serkan coffee from the coffee shop, followed by Selin who also brings him coffee. They argue about Serkan’s office rules forbidding love and love talk. Ferit brings Selin a gift which she automatically refuses until Ferit tells her that she should at least look at it before she rejects it because it is a gift just for her, it signifies her destiny, but she can take it or leave it. When Ceren opens the box, she finds an invitation to a famous shoe designer’s seminar, an opportunity to indulge her dreams of being a successful shoe designer rather than follow her family’s occupation as lawyers. She is happy, but when Ferit asks if she’s opened the box, she lies and says no. He knows the truth, of course, because he saw her open the gift.
Serkan tells Eda that the coffee she brought is better than Deniz’s, but Eda says Deniz furnishes the coffee for the shop. After all, Deniz is a barista. Later, Serkan tells Eda that Mr. Yildirem is on his way to discuss the Keremburgaz project and she should prepare the documents. He interferes with her putting papers together, some drop to the floor, they both stoop to pick them up, kiss “accidentally,” and that is the moment Selin comes in to announce Mr. Yilderim.
Mr. Yilderim compliments Eda on resolving the problems and working so hard to please him. She tells him she will have a presentation ready for him tomorrow. Mr. Yilderim says he wants Serkan, Eda and the entire company to spend an evening at his hotel as his gesture of good will, an invitation that Eda readily accepts and to which Serkan reluctantly agrees.
Alexander leaves Ayfer’s house after having breakfast, giving her many complements, but no sooner is he out the door than he calls Aydan to arrange a time to visit with her.
Selin and Deniz discuss the invitation to the hotel and Deniz complains that their game is to keep Eda and Serkan separated . How, then, can that happen if they all go to a hotel? Selin says she has a plan. She will delete Eda’s project designs from the computer and when Eda discovers that error, she will have to stay at the office and redo everything for the presentation to Mr. Yilderim.
The next morning at the office, Eda, with Leyla and Erdem, checks that everything is ready for the presentation. When Leyla says that Eda didn’t send the project dossier to the main computer, Eda discovers that all of her work has been lost. Everyone is at the country hotel when Melo calls Eda to ask when she’s coming. Eda says she has work to do and may not be able to join them. Serkan hears this and calls Leyla to see what has happened. When Leyla tells him, he decides to go back to the office to help Eda. Engin is told to keep this a secret from the rest of the group.
Selin can’t find Serkan, so she comes to Piril and Engin to see if they know where he is. Engin plays dumb, but Piril thinks Serkan is planning a surprise for Selin’s birthday. That seems to please Selin and when she calls Serkan to check, he tells her he has some business to do, but he will return to the hotel soon.
Serkan enters the office where Eda is working alone and offers to help her. She is so grateful that she gives him a big hug. They work together to finish the dossier and get it uploaded for the screen presentation. When Mr. Yilderim and his company have completed their tour of Istanbul, had a nice lunch, and finally arrive for the project overview, everything is ready. The presentation goes smoothly, everyone is pleased, and Eda gives Serkan another grateful hug, an act observed by Aydan and Seyfi. Eda and Serkan travel to the hotel to join the group in a company van. Eda is so exhausted that she falls asleep on Serkan’s shoulder.
Meanwhile, Alex pays Aydan a visit and flirts mercilessly. He is almost caught when Ayfer appears to discuss the Eda-Serkan love game. Alex hides behind the sofa while Aydan and Ayfer decide what to do about Eda and Serkan. Aydan thinks they are getting back together because she and Seyfi saw them hugging earlier in the office, but Ayfer is not sure. She thinks they need to let the two work things out themselves. Before leaving, Ayfer suggests that they all have dinner together when Eda and Serkan return.
Serkan and Eda arrive at the hotel and proceed to have a snowball fight with the group. Selin is upset that Serkan is with Eda, so she calls Deniz and asks him why he wasn’t at the company with them. Of course, Selin knows that by deleting Eda’s work, she caused Eda to stay in the city. What she didn’t realize is that Serkan would go back to help Eda complete the presentation. She is ill with Deniz when he says he didn’t know the two would be working on the project, but he says he will come to the hotel immediately.
Deniz arrives at the hotel and Selin immediately attacks him because he didn’t separate Eda and Serkan at the office. Deniz tells her he doesn’t like being accused when he’s doing her a favor to keep a man who doesn’t love her; she retorts that he’s going too far and she abruptly leaves. Later, after a silly scene between Eda and Serkan, Deniz joins Selin in the main lounge. He tells her she doesn’t believe much in a relationship with Serkan. She’s working too hard at keeping him and it’s making her tense. She complains that there are millions of people who love each other mutually but she isn’t so lucky. Deniz says they’re lucky that they found someone to love.
The group joins Deniz and Selin and everybody just sits around. Melo wants to do something, but nobody moves. Selin tries to talk to Serkan but he’s in a bad mood. She leaves when she realizes that he’s forgotten her birthday. Deniz tells Serkan that Selin was expecting a surprise from him, so Serkan arranges a birthday cake and a little celebration for her. When Serkan and Selin come into the dining room arm in arm, Eda gets upset and leaves. She goes out into the snowing night to walk.
The rest of the episode is silly and totally anticipated. All of it is ridiculous because it’s unreasonable. Eda walks in the dark through snow quite far away from the hotel. On her return walk, she realizes that she has lost her necklace (remember that she’s wearing layered clothing and a bulky jacket. . .HOW would she lose the necklace? Anyway, she backtracks to look for the necklace (in the dark in deep snow) and not only does she get lost, she also falls and hurts her leg (again). Melo panics when Eda is gone for an hour. She interrupts Selin’s party and tells everyone that Eda is lost. Before Selin can blow out the candles on her cake, Serkan tells her he will look for Eda and come right back. Everyone leaves the party and poor Selin stands alone before the lighted candles on the cake. Guess what? She has a temper tantrum and destroys the cake, the decorations and the table. . .ahhh, what would we do without that stock behavior?
Ayfer and Aydan decide to surprise Alex at the restaurant. When they realize that he has been playing with their feelings, they get angry and decide to reproach him. Aydan hits him on the head with a wine bottle and he falls. They drag him into the ladies restroom and cower, neither one knowing what to do. Aydan thinks he’s dead and she has become a murderer. They leave him there and start to leave, but they hear sirens and think the police are coming. They go back to the restroom to try to hide him but discover that he’s not there.
Serkan miraculously finds the necklace as he trudges through the snow (in the dark). He finds Eda who has fallen and hurt her leg. Serkan, ever the hero, picks her up and takes her to an empty cabin in the woods (so convenient). He turns on the lights, settles Eda on a little sofa, lights a fire in the stove, and massages her leg. He also puts the necklace on her which gives him a chance to get ever closer and remember the line, “No one but me can dare to touch you.” Of course, their cell phones have lost their charges, although Serkan manages to call Engin before his cell phone dies out completely. He tells Engin that they’re in a cabin and Eda hurt her leg.
Serkan and Eda discuss their great love. Serkan wonders if they argued all the time as they do now, and Eda says they did argue but they enjoyed the same things, often said the same things at the same time, and they could always look at each other and know how they felt. Serkan says then how is it possible for her to love someone else, and Eda says that life doesn’t stop when a love is not returned. But now, Serkan says, you love Deniz, and Eda says yes and he loves Selin. Love doesn’t stop even though they have lost each other. Serkan is forcing Eda to declare her feelings in an uncompromising way, and she feels very uncomfortable. She’s trapped herself in this little “love game.”
Deniz finds Selin having a huge anger episode after destroying the birthday cake. She blames him for the situation because he didn’t keep Eda with him, he tries to calm her, and she kisses him (somebody will explain this to me?). Selin leaves and Deniz follows. They go into the dark snowy woods looking for Serkan and Eda and find them snuggled together, asleep in the little cabin, covered with a blanket.
