Okan was born in Istanbul, he is the second oldest child of the family. During his primary education he became interested in acting, His brother brought home a cassette ( that’s the equivalent of a CD for younger readers ) and he memorized the whole performance. He graduated from Istanbul University State Conservatory, and also got a Masters in Film and Drama at Kadir Has University. He remained a theatre based actor for many years before turning to TV/movies.
His first series was Kaygisizlar in 1997. he made lots of movies and appeared in several dizi’s since then. In 2011 he got the role in the huge hit series Magnificent Century of the Sultan’s right hand man Pargali Ibrahim Pasa. He starred alongside HalitErgenc until his character was killed off in 2013. In 2017 he acted with Halit again in the series VatanimSensin as the character Charles.
He is also a very prolific voice over actor too. He has done the voices in KungFu Panda and the two further sequels as the character Po. He also was the voice over for Uncharted 3 and 4 as the character Nathan Drake.
When he is not acting Okan loves to take photographs and has his own dark room at home. He also likes to play the guitar and flute. He is active on social media and is reported to keep up to date with his fan pages. His Instagram account has 80k followers.
