KURULUS OSMAN EPISODE 50 SUMMARY
The Black Sharman Togay has been told by the spirit of his dead father to hurry up and drink Osman’s blood as he is gaining strength.
Togay compares Osman to a Gokboru wolf. One that appears every 1000 years and brings unity and strength and tradition to the pack. Togay tells his Mongols that Osman is the type of wolf that will attack a herd but looks for only one sheep. That sheep is Togay and that is why he has to kill Osman now before Osman comes looking for him.
Osman can see that it will not be long before Aya Nickola and Togay join forces and unit against him.
Cerkutay captures one of Togay’s mongols. Cerkutay is acquainted with the Mongol and remembers when Suci saved his life. He would have let him go free but unfortunately they meet in different circumstances and Cerkutay is under pressure to take him back to Osman.
It is hard for Cerkutay to see his friend being tortured by Osman and despite severe interrogation Suci does not tell Osman where Togay is.
Aya Nickola has returned from Constantinople. The emperor has endowed him with more power and support. He is greeted by Tekfur Aris who is told that they will take Sogut and break Osman’s back before he and the united Bey’s take Inegol Castle. Nickola has an organised army coming to help him led by the warrior Kolonos.
Osman is not happy with Malhun Hatun. She has disobeyed him and went after Togay and was wounded in her attempt. He has had to protect her and her father and still she will not desist from her stubbornness. She is destined to cause him more trouble. He begs her to leave Togay to him.
Umur Bey has recovered from his wounds and has settled into his nomad. Umur Bey is becoming impatient waiting for his revenge against Togay. Umur still holds onto Dundar Bey’s ring but still has not shown the ring to Osman. Osman has told him not to let his daughter go after Togay without seeking his permission first.
Malhun Hatun feels intimidated by Osman’s dominance over her. It is like telling her to stay home and take care of the children. She will not be told what to do.
On the other hand Dundar Bey continues to feed the infidels information about the movements of Osman and his Alps.
Bala Hatun shows her jealousy where Malhun Hatun is concerned. She can see that she is a real possibility of being Osman’s second wife. She needn’t worry about her husbands love for her. As strong and dominant that Osman is he is like putty every time she looks at him. He tells her that she is safe within his arms and he will always be by her side.
In the prison tent Cerkutay breaks in and releases Suci. Paying him back for saving his life when he raided with Balgay. They both run off into the night and head for the camp of Togay.
Cerkutay is now looked upon as a traitor by everyone. Osman takes a group of his Alps including Aygul to look for him.
Suci takes Cerkutay to Togay. He asks Togay to believe that he is a true Mongol and not a Turk. To show his loyalty Cerkutay will show him where Umur Bey lives in his new nomad.
Cerkutay is tied to a pole and dragged to the location. The Mongols can see that a new nomad has been created and Cerkutay must be telling the truth. The raiding group of Mongols are many. What they didn’t know was that Cerkutay tricked them and led them to their deaths. He had not betrayed the Turks but rather executed a set plan for Osman. A plan that the traitor in his nomad knew nothing about.
The nomadic camp was fortified with Osman and his Alps. The Mongols are completely devastated and mercy is not given to a single man.
The word is taken back to Togay that the wolf Gokboro has struck. Togay has lost most of his Nokers to Osman’s sword.
Umur Bey and Malhun Hatun are very alike. They both want to go after Togay themselves. They do not believe that Osman is moving fast enough for them.
At Inegol Castle, Togay has no other choice but to unite with Aya Nickola. Osman has killed most of his Nokers. To show his loyalty Togay offers the underground maps of Sogut to Aya Nickola to cement their alliance.
Osman receives the news that Nickola and Togay are planning something. Aya Nickola is gathering the Tekfurs as added strength to his christian army. Osman tells Bamsi Bey that he will hit the Tekfurs first. Unfortunately Dundar Bey listens to his plans.
Umur Bey also hears about the meeting at Inegol Castle. He decides not to seek permission from Osman to leave the nomad. He sends his daughter as his Ambassador to see if Aya Nickola will hand over Togay to them.
Osman leaves the Kai nomad with his Alps to ambush the Tekfur Aris. He tells his Alps to take the Fekfur alive but show the rest no mercy.
As soon as his back is turned Malhun Hatun leaves the nomad to journey to Inegol Castle. Malhun Hatun is granted an audience with Aya Nickola. She demands he give her Togay. Aya Nickola sees this as comical seeing that Togay was present in the very same room.
To them having Malhun Hatun come to them like she has is like Devine providence. This is the second time that Togay has met Malhun Hatun. The first time he drove a dagger into her shoulder. This time he chokes her. The only reason Togay does not kill her is because she will be the bait to lure Osman.
The Turks attack the infidels and take prisoner Tekfur Aris just as Osman ordered. They take no other prisoners and the rest are shown no mercy.
Malhun Hatun’s absence is not notice at this stage. Osman will be furious when he finds out that her father sent her to his enemy.
Osman tells the Tekfur that all their food and produce comes from in and around Sogut. He asks the Tekfur whether Aya Nickola has promised to protect him from Osman and his Turks. Osman shows him hospitality and tells that he doesn’t need protection from him. He offers him a trading contract and friendship.
The village drums herald a visitor. It is Togay. He enters the Kai nomad alone. Osman asks if he has come to his death on purpose. Togay tells him that he has Umur Bey’s daughter and if he wants her to live he has to let go of the Tekfur.
Malhun Hatun is under Osman’s protection. He tells Togay that if he touches a hair on her head he will skin him alive.
Togay tells Osman to bring the captive Tekfur to Karacayir and if Togay does not return to Inegol Castle shortly Malhun Hatun will be put to death.
Togay tells Osman that it is only blood that can finish what they’re father’s began.
Osman tells him that his father Noyan kidnapped women. Togay is like his father and does the same. Osman repeats that he does not have to deal with scum like him.
Osman has been placed in a hard position. He feels pushed into letting Togay go because of Malhun Hatun.
Whether Osman brings Tekfur Aris to Karacayir will have to be revealed in next week’s episode.
