HOMEMADE TURKISH SIGARA BOREGI RECIPE.

Ingredients

Makes: 6 Turkish Sigara Borek

200 feta cheese, crumbled
1 tbsp fresh parsley (optional)
1/2 tsp white pepper
Filo pastry (Yufka in Turkish)
Cup of oil for frying

Method

1: Cut Filo pastry into 12 triangles
2: In a bowl, combine the feta cheese, white pepper and parsley Mix all of the ingredients together.

3: Spread 1 to 2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture in the middle of the pastry in a line but a bit towards the long side of the triangle 2 pastry sheets on the top of each other. Fold the sides in and then start to roll the pastry like you would roll a cigarette.


4: In a pan, Heat the oil over a high heat then add the sigara boreks into the pan.

5: Once one side is amber colour, turn to the other side. Once all sides are golden brown, remove from the pan and transfer to the kitchen paper.

Ready to eat! Be careful as Boreks will be very hot!
