ESRA DERMANCIOGLU BIOGRAPHY
BORN: 7th December 1968
STATUS: In a relationship.
Esra was born in Istanbul. She has one sibling and her father is a very prominent tycoon and businessman in Turkey, Dr, Zeynel Abidin. He is the honorary consul of the Kingdom of Spain to the Marmara Region of Turkey and the honorary consul of the Republic of Sudan to the Republic of Turkey. Her Grandfather is Cumbus a very famous inventor of the early 20th Century.
She completed her primary school education in Turkey but the completed her higher education in the Franklin College, Switzerland. She took acting lessons and voice coaching both in Turkey and abroad. Since being very young her passion has always been to act.
She took acting lessons and voice coaching both in Turkey and abroad. Her onscreen career commences in 2008 with the series Sen Harikasin. Her next role was the one that most of you will know her for, The character Mukaddes in the dizi Fatmagul’un Sucu Ne? Oh my goodness, Mukkades must be one of the most annoying characters I have ever come across on Turkish television. What an outstanding performance from Esra to get us all to be so mad with her character.
Since then she has steady work including four films. Her series have included, Galip Dervis, Doksanlar, Serce Sarayi and in 2015 she was in the series Muhtesem Yuzyil: Kosem as Cennet Hatun. Her newest role will be in the very eagerly awaited series Sahin Tepesi which is due for release soon. She will be part of an amazing cast including Zerrin Tekindor and Murat Aygen. The director for the series Hilal Saral is an old friend.
Esra was married but divorced in 2010 citing the reason that her husband didn’t support her acting career. They had a daughter together who was born in 2000.
She is currently dating a younger gentleman Omer Gunes. Esra loves art and was an art dealer, buying and selling pictures. She got a Master’s in Art History.
She is active on social media and has 199k followers on Instagram. She has some very funny images on there too. Her new role I have a feeling will bring her back into the spotlight just like Fatmagul did. It’s a great opportunity to further her career with a great cast and director. I can’t wait to see the return of ‘ Mukkades ‘ although I think that character was one of a kind.
